This is not something you finish.
The Lessons are a correspondence. They are given so that a way of living can take root — slowly, in the place where you already are.
What you receive is sacred. How it reaches you — booklet, screen, or both — is a practical kindness, not a rank.
Once a week, a sitting.
A lesson is prepared for you. You sit with it. You practice a little. Then the next is given. That is the whole cadence.
-
1
Words to receive. A letter’s worth of teaching — not a feed, not a module. Meant to be read as one would read a letter from a teacher.
-
2
A practice to try. Beginner meditation in the public language of this path: sit, tense and relax, rest attention at the spiritual eye. No performance.
-
3
Time, not speed. Print travels by post. Digital is ready on the day. Both are the same sitting. You are not behind if the booklet is still on the way.
How would you like to receive?
Choose the form that will actually be opened. Digital is not a consolation. Print is not a requirement. Both is not extra credit.
What shall we call you?
A given name is enough. This is the opening of a correspondence — not an account setup.
Where shall it be sent?
A few lines. This is not a shipping checkout. If the address is imperfect, we can write again.
Digital sittings do not wait on the post. If you chose both, you may sit this week while the booklet travels.
Give as you are able.
The Lessons have always been supported by those who receive them. This is a monastery correspondence, not a cart. Nothing is withheld. No sincere seeker is turned away.
First, the currency you live in — so the examples make sense, and so no one is dropped at this door.
Dear Friend,
You are received. Your first lesson is being prepared. You asked to receive digitally. Your first sitting is ready when you are.
You chose to give later — that is received with the same respect.
This week’s sitting is ready. Come when you can. There is no late.
With a quiet welcome,
The Lessons · Concept v0.24 correspondence
